Hi, I’m Daniel Jung and I’m a current sophomore Business Analytics and Theology major, originally from Tampa, Florida! I have the privilege to serve as Notre Dame’s Student Body President, but I am especially proud of my involvement in JIFFI! Outside of work, I love to play basketball, work out, and debate with friends where the best place to use Flexpoints is on campus (Decio Café has my heart!)
2) Current Division and Role?
I’m the VP of Community Relations! Go CoRe!
3) Why did you join JIFFI?
I joined JIFFI during my freshman year because the current JIFFI CEO Jack O’Leary recommended it to me. I was inspired by the way he excitedly talked about JIFFI as a force to tangibly improve lives in the local area. JIFFI very clearly connects with Notre Dame’s mission to be a force for good in the world, and once I recognized that, it was an easy decision to want to join. I never cease to be impressed by the passion that JIFFI members have to assist their local community.
4) What Impact have you made/ hope to make in your time as a member of this organization?
As VP of Community Relations, I am tasked with reaching out and connecting with local nonprofits, charities, and other NGOs to forge relationships that help augment the pool of available resources to assist residents in the Michiana area. I hope that the relationships that Community Relations has formed have been able to positively impact local residents who may be in need of a variety of services.
5) If you had to pick a superpower, what would it be and why?
I think I would take the ability to fly! How cool would it be to not have to walk to class?!
